PurposeNeedWe are losing inner city youth at an alarming rate to gangs, violent crime, drugs, teen-age pregnancy, poor preparation for adult life, and spiritual poverty. Published statistics for the District of Columbia show that violent deaths, violent crime arrests, and birthrates are all up drastically among teens over the last decade.
Government agencies have attempted to address many of the issues but with only limited success. Too many of these programs are directed at the symptoms and not the real causes. Many churches and youth workers are sincerely trying, but some simply lack the skills, confidence, and resources to relate to the inner city environment.
VisionTo transform and empower the lives of inner city youth and their families through Christ, by giving them hope, a productive future, and a changed community.
MissionTo provide an opportunity for inner city youth and their families to connect to Christ through creative programs that meet both physical and spiritual needs.
