HistoryThe House is located in Anacostia, on a street formerly known by local police as "Murder Row." The abandoned 2-story brick building was used as a "crack house" prior to its remarkable transformation on November 21, 1999, when it became, "The House."
The House is now a place where high school students come to turn their lives around. Through partnerships with area churches, The House serves as a catalyst for youth to develop healthy relationships and experience changes of the heart.
