The House celebrates 10 years!  Our mission is to provide an opportunity for inner city youth and their families to connect to Christ through creative programs that meet both physical and spiritual needs.

The House is located in the Anacostia area of Southeast, Washington, DC, on a street formerly known as "Murder Row." These former buildings that were once used as a "crack" house is now a catalyst for youth to develop healthy relationships and experience changes of heart.

Thank you for visiting our website. Click on the navigation above to learn more about The House, and how you can help support our efforts.

What are people saying about the house...

"It's meant to be an urban oasis where teens get encouragement, praise, and the kind of stable relationships with adults that are often missing in their lives." Washington Post.

The Vision of The House is to transform and empower the lives of inner city youth and their families through Christ by giving them hope, a productive future, and a changed community.

The result is changed lives.  While 5% of our funding comes from churches, 11% from foundations, and 20% from fundraisers, the remaining 65% almost 2/3 comes from the generosity of individual donors.

On behalf of inner city youth, please browse our website to find out more about our programs and life-saving ministry.
